Wayne did not have a football field until the 1960 season. Prior to that all "home" games were played at Shawen Acres.
All games in 1956 were road games.
Note: Wayne was originally scheduled to play their fifth and final game of the season versus Ansonia on Thu 10/25 at New Carlisle. (There were no games scheduled for the weekends of 10/12 nor 10/19.) However, on 09/28 the Ansonia coach pulled his team off the field in the 3rd quarter of a game against Bradford. OHSAA subsequently suspended the school for the remainder of the football season. Ansonia had been scheduled to play Piqua Catholic on Fri 10/19. Instead, Wayne played at Piqua Catholic on that day.
